a few years ago there were 2 mopar clubs in spokane and they seemed to be fewding. i went to a mopar show that was in coeur d' alene and it was a pretty decent show.  i had alot of fun. anyway fast forward to last year, i went to one that was in airwayheights and it was terrible, low car turn out, alot of non mopars. over all just bad imo.   i went racing after the show so it wasnt a total waste, this year theres a show june 23rd, i wont be going racing and its 110 mile trip one way so is this show going to be the same crappy one as last year or is there a club thats putting on a bigger, better put together show like ive seen  several years ago in spokane.

i dont mean to offend anyone so if you were involved in the show in airway heights dont take this the wrong way.   just trying to see where i want to spend my money

Mike, the show your talking about is at Airway Heights again and is put on by the same club.  I went to it a few years back and it was OK.  Their ad this years says "no pets" and PePe (new Shi-tzu) will tear my leg off if I left him at home, so I won't be there either.  I think the Idaho club is still active, but haven't heard anything yet.  Hope we hook-up sometime this year.  Bob

whats smm? and when is it?

SpokaneMuscleMopars@Yahoogroups.com is not really a club but just a website run by a young fellow (Jon) that is really into 1st generation Chargers (although he did inherit a nice '68 when his Father passed away).  He usually puts an ad in the local paper once a year for a Charger get together and has a pretty good turn-out.  It's usually toward the end of the summer and your cars would be more than welcome.  I'll let you know when I see something on it.  Bob

When I was younger, maybe 10 years ago I remember a mopar show in Spokane at the county fairgrounds with a long line of Chargers on the grass. That was pretty cool, would like to see all of the mopar people in the area pitch in and get something like that together again. The fairgrounds would be a good spot assuming it wasn't too much $$.

Have been thinking about a Charger meet this year in September after labor day. Hopefully will be a bit cooler and gas prices will have come back down. Went out to the waterfront park in Medical lake and they have a nice big parking lot with the water near by. It is just that last year and this year having graduated and working full time and having a house (and trying to be somewhat responsible) I haven't been as motivated to get to all the shows and pass out flyers to all the Charger people like I used to when I was living with my parents and being in college and only working part time.

But I will try to call around. SMM started out as just a list of emails of local Spokane area Charger owners so we could keep in contact about what was going on and stuff like that, and it has just grown since then to all Mopars.

Here's a couple pics going way back to the first meet in 2002. Bob's car is at one of the pumps. I remember thinking gas was crazy expensive at $1.47 a gallon.
