Any chances the auto slap stick shifter off A 73 road runner could be made to function under a 69 charger center consle thanks  tom

The short answer is yes.  What I don't know is if you need to change any of the levers between the shifter and the transmission.  You would have to compare the complete linkage side by side to make sure everything is the same to eliminate the possibility of not moving the shift lever at the trans itself the correct amount.  You will also need to change the plastic filler strip in the console where the shift handle comes through.  The 69 version is round and your Slap Stick one is oval.  There may also be an issue on the side where the gear is indicated.  If the RR shifter won't fit under the existing window, you may have to butcher your console top to allow the other shifter to sit in there.

how much would i expect to pay for the shifter thanks  tom

No idea.  I've seen asking prices all over the map.  I bought one a couple of years ago at the Mopar Nats swap meet for 25 bucks but I've seen people asking as much as 150.  Doesn't mean they were getting it, but I have seen it.

There is a plate made to mount on 2nd gens shifters to make it work like a slap stick... Chris (Just 6T9_CHGR....) knows about that. He posted the link some time ago.

If you have/want to sell the slapstick stuff, I'd be interested. PM me.

I have one of those plates in my car too.  It doesn't function exactly like a Slap Stick but it's close enough for me.  Some don't like them though.  :shruggy:
