My wife and I will have 2 free days as we travel from Niagara falls to Carlisle PA...is there any cool stuff to see around that area  or recommended stops?

sterling renisance festival,only on weekends,but a real cool atmosphere,about 20 minutes outside of oswego/fulton,or give me a shout and we can meet for a few beers,i live in syracuse and work in wolcot(between syracuse and rochester)!

If you are going on the thruway/81/80/380 then here is some advice.

-Stay away from the Onandaga reservation.  cheap gas is not worth your life.
-Just south of that, though, is a very "easy on/easy off" Burger King....
-...in a burger king related story, there is a nice bathroom at the denny's in Cortland about 25 miles from there where you can shit your brains out.
-Don't speed between Cortland and Binghamton, ton of troopes and plenty of hiding spots.
-Stop in Cortland and go to Woodman's pub, drink a yard of beer and get a T shirt.  Monteleone's has good pizza.

If you go the other way, 17 through elmira/corning....stop at the glass factory.
