Got a section of my Lincoln painted yesterday. Base/clear following a repair job. I was just wondering how long I should wait before I wash and wax it?

90 days before you put any type of wax on is normal. Washing it not an issue, since it was painted, color sanded and buffed, it was most likely already washed, so no problems there at all with doing so from here on out.

So can I wax it too if I want, or do I NEED to wait 90 days?

Most places tell you not to wash for 30 days or wax for 60.  Your paint should be plenty hard within a week for wax if you are using base coat clear coat,  I put two coats od Zaino on the Bee 10 days after paint.  I think they tell you those times so you wont find any flaws in the body work or paint for 3 months, they can deny it happened at their shop by then.
