ok guys.
The aftermarket stereo have a couple lines I'm unsure where to hook up to

1: 12V Memory
2: Dimmer

any sugestions as to where to hook these up?

The original radio has only three 2 main lines Red (power) and Orange (illumination)
and of coarse blue/black speaker.
I've got all those covered.

If I remember how I hooked up the radio in my daytona the dimmer was a button that you could either:

1. Dim the lights of the radio so they weren't s obright while driving
2. Dims the volume of the radio automatically when you push a button in case you get a call on your cell phone.

Im my daytona it was #1 but in my friend's '95 Integra it was #2

I would think the 12v memory is related to your presets and clock.  That is connected to the battery for constant current.   :icon_smile_big:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

4cruzin is right - the 12V memory needs to be hooked to an "always on" source or you'll lose the clock and presets. The dimmer is hooked into the headlights to dim the radio display at night.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Wow, you get fm?
In all seriousness, I do sometimes admire you guys that go to the trouble to put an aftermarket radio in your car.  I still just have the am and I never really listen to that.

Telvis

You guys are gonna laugh at me. I have a really nice radio in my truck. I listen to AM about 75% of the time. The rest of the time I lsten to XM radio....comedy, nascar, Fox news....and.... occasionally country music. I'm such a nerd! ;D. My wife makes fun of me. It's bad when you wife makes fun of you.

Ghoste

Actually, I think it's in their contract somewhere that they will make fun of you.
