I ordered a Dodge grill emblem from Yearone and it is not correct for my 72 Rallye.  The one on my 72 Rallye has the letters outlined with chrome.  The new one from Yearone is 1/4" longer and the top of each letter is chrome instead of being outlined.  That is just how it looks in the book too.  Is there a source for the correct ones.

Thanks

what PN did you get ?

if you got VC765 that is a mistake on book, that is HOOD EMBLEM and even in that way is incorrect one... the one on book is to laters Dodges

Check on 71 emblems and you wiull notice they states that emblem to 71 hoods what is CORRECT, but still not matches with earliers 70 dodges... they are really LATERS 70s

The VC765 is the one I got.  I will call them for a return and replacement tomorrow.

Thanks for the information.

In fact I think the VC765 is not an emblem for 72, since they got the DODGE emblem at grille not on hood... 73/74 got hood emblem because not anymore on grill. Yes it could be the GRILL to 71s BUT NOT HOOD as they state on catalog

why the hell Dodge would install double Dodge bagdes in front and at the same side of car, one just above the other ?

I can be wrong but sound ilogical

Yes I think they are different for the 71 bee and 72 Rallye.  This is what mine looks like.  The picture does not show it well but there are two chromestripes on each letter outlining it.

yes same than mine, and I know what you talks about the one you got is SOLID letters and black around, instead the double chromed lines and black inside... the one you got is to laters Dodges... dunno exactly the year, But I have seen them on Aspens
