I posted a couple weeks ago, but still have not figured this problem out.  Newly rebuilt 440, no major mods besides edelbrock carb and intake and alum. rockers.  the car seems to run smooth when you sit in drive and give it gas around 1500-1800 rpm, but sitting idling the engine and valve train move around alot.  i have all new motor mounts and tranny mounts, and cant figure it out for the life of me.  i got the vacuum advance hooked up to passenger side of carb and have timing set at around 11 degrees.  any suggestions why the motor rattles around so much.  like i said it smooths out when u give it some gas.  iam clueless.

Vacuum leak, low oil pressure, no choke, and probably more stuff.

would an intake leak cause this?  any way to check.  not many vaccuum leaks possible on it.

Soapy Water. A small one wont do much but a biggish one can.
