Old Plymouth On An Album Cover

Well, it was one of those nights where I drank some beer, pulled out some vinyl to spin on the turntable, & spotted a record I bought a couple of years ago that I haven't heard yet. I bought it for a $1.99 at a small shop in New Paltz, NY that sells used records. (Rhino Records) I had no idea what the music was, but because of what was on the cover, Steve Allen with an old Plymouth, I decided it would be cool.   ;D

Now, I never saw Steve Allen host the Tonight Show, but I know who he is because of my dad. He had watched him years ago & was a big fan, so whenever he was on someone else's show as a guest, he'd watch. So anyway, here's a few pics of the album with the write up on the back that sounds like a corny old TV commercial. Steve Allen is a piano player, so it's piano music along with the Steve Allen Orchestra.

Not something I'd go nuts over, but it was okay to listen to.  ;D

This is kind of neat too, Steve Allen's website.  http://www.steveallen.com/main_page/index.html

I knew when I posted this it wouldn't generate too much interest, but I also knew there's a few people on here that would remember who Steve Allen is. I don't know what year the Plymouth is, I was hoping someone who sees the pix would know. Did you notice Steve Allen holding the 45 RPM records in his hand in the black & white pic? That was an option on the old cars, a record player.

I remember steve allen and I'm 40.  Very funny man.

The car is a 1960 Plymouth Fury or Belvedere.  I see it has 4 doors so most likely a Belvedere.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I know who he is, but he was pretty much before my time...there, I feel younger already. :icon_smile_big:

Cool album cover, though. :)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
