When you guys replaced your 1/4's how did you hold your new 1/4s on there, did you use self tapping screws? Any of you used flange tool to make flange for the new 1/4's

i hold them in place with self tapping screws while i weld them on, or cleco pins, either way they do the same thing. then just weld the holes up when your done. I thought you did bodywork?

I did, i havent hung many 1/4 though, especially on old car with lots of rust. Some people like to use special clamps. I dont feel like buying set just to hang on one 1/4

as far as buying clecos, find out if you have a military base near you that does aircraft repair, then find out where they sell their old clecos. once their clecos are even slightly worn they get rid of them. But their worn out clecos are tight enough for bodywork, its just they might not be tight enough to give their extremely fine tolerances. But really, does the panel have to be exactly on to within i think its .00001"

highly doubt it.

:shruggy:What are these "cleco pins" you are talking about?  I've never heard of them before.

If you get the Hole Puncher included you'll usually have a choice of 2 different size holes to choose from. Unfortunately they seem to give you the standard small hole. I prefer the optional bigger hole. LEON.
