Swapping a 440 for my 383

I know its supposed to be a sin to swicth out the original motor, and my 383 is original, but a little tired. I have recently entered into a deal for a 1969 cast 440 out of what is reported to be a 1969 New Yorker. I have a floor mounted 727 auto, I understand it will bolt right up to the 440. Can anybody tell me what I may be up against in switching them out regarding what parts won's interchange?  Will the radiator openings be the same, the electrical system, the battery the water pump and fuel lines/ brake lines???

P.S. I did do a search and read most of the posts, just didn't get much advice that way!!!

I think everything is pretty much the same.  I think the major differences are the distributer and intake manifolds.  I think the balance may be different depending on the year of the motors too.  I know more about small blocks than B/RB, I'm sure others will chime in too.

And it is definitely not a sin to swap a 383 for a 440.  Just make sure that you keep your origional motor and do a simple rebuild on it.  People swap from their origionals all the time out of fear of blowing up the matching #'s block.

assuming the 440 is out of a 69 both will be steel crank engines & it will bolt in with no balancing issues , both should have the lower hose on the left side in those yaers, & the accessory brakets will work from th e383
