a guy comes up to buy one of my griner RMVB's... he states that he would really like the valve body.  Then he pops the question...

"Do you take a guaranteed check?"
I laughed right then and said there is no such thing unless he was in the fortune 500.  Needless to say, he didnt get the part.

What has been some of the dumb questions you have been asked at car shows or swapmeets (if you are the seller)?

Ive heard some stupid stuff selling cars in a swap meet. like the kid who was real interested in my old aspen (800 bucks with 35k original miles on it) and was saying how nice it was till he offered 200 for it and started calling it a peice of crap.

other than that I've heard people ask why a part is broken cause its only 50 bucks, even though its just priced cheap. then goes to the next table and buys the same part for 200.

This didn't happen at the swap meet area, but rather at the car display area.
Last year at Carlisle, I was sitting under our umbrella by our 70 charger, and some kid walks by and sees our Alaskan license plates and he says, "hey, mom, look, they came all the way from Alaska." She turned to him and said, "If they say they did, then they are lying."  I looked at her like WTF? I didn't say anything to her right then cause I was dumbfounded at her statement! Oh well, wisdom is wasted on the stupid anyway. I am from Alaska, our charger DID come from Alaska, and what an idiotic thing to say to your kid!!
