The purists will hate it and the open minded will welcome it.  I wouldn't sweat it really, even if you make it exactly as it came from the factory, someone will find fault.  If its Viper stripes you like  then Viper stripes it should be.

Even though mine has a beestripe I wish more people would put non factory stripes on...I like variety ;D
just make sure it suits the lines of the car before you commit yourself

1BAD68

yup, you cant please everyone all the time so do what you want. besides, stripes are easily changed.
I really want a AAR strobe stripe on my 68 Charger, if I find a way to make it look nice, I'm going to put one on.

Hi Paul
Good luck on getting all healed up by the way here is a little over the counter vitamin that works wonders on bone healing combination of amino acids that promote fast bone growth and help reduce swelling. these 2 come as a pre-combined capsule.

L-Arginine
L-Ornithine

take 2 caps everyday and the next x-ray will show masive improvment. Whatch out though bones can heal too fast too and they do that with this stuff so dont take more!

As far as the car goes you cant please every one so why evan try? and its your car too boot! do it your way Make your self happy with it first!!! Personalizing our cars is part of the hobby, and they are only painted on or stickers so they arent permenent like body flares would be or scoops dont wory about it make her look like you want.
How many guy's you here say "its all steel no mud!"? and the only person who realy cares is himself no one else really cares or appreciates it once its all coverd in paint no one can see it, get the idea?

Paul
Glad to see you are recovering and that you are off the critical list! :o

Sounds like you are very popular there and everyone seems to look up to you. You must be a super person to have that much support!!!

Take the recovery slow and don't push it too hard.  Look forward to hearing about your progress.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

K9COP

Hey guys, and thanks for the kind words. I've walked on my repaired legs today, and I'm making progress with the physio. I should be going to physical rehab tomorrow, which  I could be through in a week if  iWORK hard enough and back home, or at least on the way. I'll br able to touch my charger again!!

please keep the kind words coming, it gives me lots of strength.

I hope you recover fully; and soon. I feel for ya. I am working WAY TOO MUCH overtime right now because one of my guys just got run over by his own cruiser. A drunk hit his cruiser and the cruiser ran the deputy down. The guy he was helping was killed at the same moment. Lee, the deputy, remembers coming to and grabbing the gas tank to pull himself out form under the car. The rear end housing messed his knees up pretty bad. He may never be back. We are pulling for him.
Many of us are taken out of our jobs, and lives, in the line of duty. We have to remind people that we live day by day. Many of our wives worry so much, they end up leaving us. Divorce is common in this field. I'm still going through mine. We sacrifice more than anybody thinks. We all love you and respect your sacrifice. Keep up the hard work of recovery and get back to that Charger. It needs you. You must commence with the burnies. That is an order soldier. Carry on.
