here is my new truck. what do you think? it's an 07 Silverado 1500,  5.3 litre with cold air intake added and GMs stainless performance exhaust. a 6" superlift suspension, 18" American Racing wheels and 33x12.50 toyo M/Ts.

ps: to clarify why I don't everything about the non factory stuff on the truck is that it was all dealer installed. this is how it looked when I bought it ;)

not bad for a chebby!!!  Are those ion alloy wheels? I love the look

70charginglizard

Not to bad. I like look of my dodge truck beter but that truck looks pretty good.

Red huh.

Enjoy all those speeding tickets. Cops target red vehicles.

the only thing i don't like about the new chevys is the front end reminds me of a snow plow....
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Charger boy; Ions? I don't know. the center caps say American Racing, but...I looked at the A/R web site and don't see them. a friend suggested they might be specially made for Les Schwab. I'll have to find that one out. people keep asking and I keep answering, :shruggy:

Mark, working in a GM body shop, I'd think you'd get tired of looking at them.

Kelly, I like those Dodges too, pretty mean looking trucks. I agree on the red thing and would like to say that I don't usually speed much more than 5 over, but I keep catching myself going 80, 85mph. this truck is surprising me, how fast it wants to go. and smoothly too. you may be right, this red truck might get me more tickets. :police:

Bandit, I see what you mean...the pic is for you ;)

thanks all for the comments...I am surprised there wasn't more chevy bashing though. :spank: you guys are showing great restraint!

Forza

We have to, it's easter  ;D. But seriously thats a damn nice looking truck. Congrats! Im in the market for a truck too after trying to drive my mustang in snow this winter, never again.

Nice truck - I really like the new Chevys and from what I've read about them, you'll be very happy.  :yesnod:
One thing I'd add to your truck would be some wheel flares to keep the mud and stones off of that nice red paint.  :icon_smile_big:
1968 Charger -currently spread all over my garage!

Yeah Forza, I hear ya. I've had to drive my share of 2wd cars in the snow too. no fun. and thanks man ;D

thanks Ottawa, I expect I'll be happy with it too. my 05 Sierra that I traded in for this one was pretty much problem free and for the most part the same truck except for some new gadgets for 07. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the new stuff.  thanks good advice, I'm already looking at a set of Bushwacker "extenda flares"

anybody have any opinions on flares?

HITMAN 149

since all that stuff (lift) was dealer installed...are they gonna honor your warranty, if any problems???? cause i know usually, a dealer won't even look at your truck if it's been lifted (usually voides the warranty!!)????
NICE TRUCK though!!! good luck w/ it!!!!!!!!!

what do you think?
I'm damned glad I don't have that truck payment. ;)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I talked that with the dealership before purchasing. the company hired to install the lift kit is responsable for any warranty issues with the lift kit itself and the rest of the truck is still warrantied by GM, but I do see the possibility or even likelyhood of some "buck passing" as to who is responsable for what. have to wait and see on that one.

thanks
