Anybody switched over to a Delco single wire alternator to get away from the regulators? I even use these on my bulldozers and equipment. Very reliable and only one wire to hook up. What say you?

Hey Bob!Neal here again,I've been thinking about Mancini Racing's 120 amp Denso alternator kit. It's 250 bucks but 120amps is sweet. What do the 1 wires put out?

Standard is 75 but you can get em 100 and even more. 75 is normally WAY more then you need. We use 75's on all our Chevy builds and equipment like I said. Looks like no modifications to the stock brackets are needed, might just need some spacers,, There $60 at advance auto . I'll keep ya posted,, Anybody else?

Don,t run high output alt. thru a stock ammeter. Not made for 100+ amps. Most of the time it won,t make full current, but with discharged battery it could.

Yes I know about that boogaboo! But it's important to keep bringing it up having all the amp draw through the gauge is the weak point in the system! Also a very good mechanic/friend of mine warned me he has seen many mopars burn in the past because the alt. on Chryslers are not well shrouded and can ignite a fuel leak easily.Something I picked up on working on boats.
