water loss

I'm having a water loss. Overflow bottle gets emptied around every 4 or 5 days. When I start the car  for warming, I see how water drops on exhaust. Firts I thought was condensation on exhaust but... both stuff at the same time ?

Would you think probably head gasket blow ? another symptom to get that conclusion ?

Possible head gasket, did you check your compression?  Is the coolent frothy?

The exhaust manifold bolts go into the water jackets on the heads.    Chances are they need sealant on the threads if they've been apart since you've noticed them dripping on the exhaust.

Is that true for all of the bolts or just the front and back ones?

Water is a byproduct of the gas burning. I was told by a mechanic that for every 7 gallons of gas burned 1 gallon of water is made. I dont know if its true though.  My 318 spits water also.

on cold season ( like you are up there ) is very common spits water because condensation on exhaust. however is weird that on dry season ( here ) and even more if I have to refill the water on overflow bottle or even radiator itself that frequently

front & back for the small blocks , all the bolts on big blocks

Thanks Chryco.  So how are people mounting their exhaust manifolds/headers these days then?  Using bolts or studs?

I use studs..

BTW another stuff I'm noticing... I'm hearing/feeling somekind of vacuum moment on driver side exhaust, not continuoslly but oftenly.
