Who sells the correct shade of hemi orange engine paint (for a '69 440HP) in a spray can? Who sells the correct shade for a spray gun?

Check with Frank Badalson on the engine paint in quarts. The Eastwood Hemi Orange ceramic paint is also pretty good stuff, I used that on the last one. Their turquoise however, is not even close.
For a spray can, I've always thought the MP paint was lousy. I've had some decent results with either Plasti-Kote or Duplicolor.

The Dupli-color is dead on for turquoise and Mopar (70's) blue.   :popcrn:

FWIW, the MP turquoise in a spray can is also good stuff.  :yesnod:

If MP is Mo-Paint ... I found that NOT EVEN CLOSE to turquoise.
I also got their pearl-white interior paint.
It wasn't the correct white OR pearl and came off almost with in a month.
End of my rant!   :RantExplode:

Sorry, I should have been descriptive. By "MP" I mean the Mopar Peformance paints.  :yesnod:

"Mo-Paints" are different. I've heard the "Mo-Paints" also suck, too. Same with the Totally Auto stuff, although I've never tried it because of the reviews I've read.

I have used the VHT SP-120 which was a dead match to the old Mopar Perf street hemi orange paint that used to come in the rainbow label.  The new Mopar Perf street hemi orange paint has too much red in it compared to the stuff I had used.  The VHT paint also holds up extremely well.

i used the duplicolor hemi orange paint on mine. looks good, but it was drying as soon as i put it on, and took about 10 cans, it just didnt want to cover very well, but looks really good.

i mixed up the orange at work in 2k  with matting  agent in it   sprayed it    just chose the cloest orange from the color map ,  but did not last long , as i'm always swapping  stuff on the motor  cams heads  intakes etc etc  , so i  first time  i took the motor back out after the resto  just painted it with a with  por 15  hemi orange with a brush  , &  thinned it down to spray the  valve covers with  gun wash / lacqure thinner  :yesnod: mine gets further way from stock appearing every year ,  just east to  touch up the block or paint new parts with a brush  :Twocents:
