Any closet Chevy people?

My friends and I have been having this debate for ages and I figure it's time to ask the big dogs even though this isn't a chevy forum!

In 1973 Chevy started introducing hatchbacks to their Nova line. I know in '73 it was an option as not all Novas were HB, but in 1974 were trying to figure out if all Novas were HB or not. Any clue?

I have been out of the Chevy closet for twenty plus years now, I'm sorta the other way in the Mopar closet. The Mopar sene is new to me and i am enjoying it so far.
I'm 99.99% sure that 74 Novas were not all hatchbacks.

mikepmcs

They made both styles.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Ill have to admit liking the late 60s/early 70's Novas (only cause they remind me of Dusters though) and I do love 57 Chevys (bone stock ragtops prefered) In my heart, Ill always be a Mopar guy though...

Hate to admit it on this board, but in addition to our Charger, we own a 1967 SS427 Impala.  We are taking it to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals this weekend and will be leaving the Charger at home - It will go next year.

Wayyy back before I was converted to Mopars and before I could even drive I sort of liked the Monte's an Chevelles and I still like their cousins the Poncho's.

I've always liked the Firebird better than the Camaro but maybe because in the day everyone and his mother and brother had one and I got sick of looking at them.

TruckDriver

I love Chevys just as much as Mopars and I'm not afraid to admit it. I grew up with Chevy and a bunch of my first few cars were all Chevys. Hell, there are even a few select Fords I would love to have. Anyway, as answered above, no, not all Novas were Hatchbacks in '74. I used to own a '74 Nova. One of the fastest cars I've ever owned.

I'd love to see pics of your Impala :yesnod: My first car was a '67 Bel-Air. I loved '67s ever since. In fact a '67 Impala SS fast back 4spd is one of my dream cars.

Nope a guy I grew up with had a 74 that was NOT a hatchback and another guy has a 74 Hatchback SS 4 speed car.

WIChargerguy:  For some reason, I have a difficult time posting pictures here.  Possible reasons:  Old Age, Inability to follow instructions, deficient computer knowledge.  Anyway, If you would like to see photos of the Impala, if you go to Cardomain.com and look under either 1967 Chevrolet Impala or 19Charger68 you should be able to pull up all the photos of the Charger and Impala.  Let me know if you find them and what you think.

I own a 55 Chevy.  I've posted pics on the site so don't want to use any bandwidth duplicating pics.

Mike, how the heck did you do that? ???  Thanks for posting the pics for me!

I went to the domain website, searched for 67 impala, found it and the pics and then....  right click on the mouse and up comes a list.  Look for "save as"
click it then a window will pop up and ask where you want to put the file(pic).

I always put it on the desktop because it's just faster to find.
I then go to the picture and first right click again and select "properties" to make sure it is under 200kb, anything over will not load on the site.  If I have to resize it I open it up in whatever program recognizes it and go to the top of the tool bar and find edit or whatever and select resize and go from there.

to post it here all you do is go to the ATTACH at the bottom of the post you are writing and hit browse.  Find the pic on your desktop and left double click and it will automatically insert the file name in the attach section.

Hit post and you should be all set.
Feel free to keep asking questions and I'll keep answering if I can.

Oh yeah I forgot I have one of those too.  It's parked in a garage up North at my Reserve Center for the winter.  It's for sale but If I can find a good paying job(retiring from military), (I might have to talk to Beer again)......I'll keep it too.

I've only got one Chebby at the moment...
...with a dead transmission. :rotz:

I'd sure like to own one of these one day though, the week after I win the lottery, that is.  ::)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
