That was very touching.  My prayers go out to his family and fellow officers. 

God, take care of those who were left behind in this tragic accident.  Please take special care, Lord, of his wife who is now alone and grieving for the loss of her husband.  Look after, Lord, the officers who are grieving over the loss of their friend and brother in arms.  Lord, it was this officers time and only you know why it was his time, but a lot of people here on earth do not know why you took their friend.  Give them the strength to carry on and the knowledge that their friend and loved one is sitting with you in heaven, looking down on them all.  His duty was fullfilled here on earth and he went home to be with you Lord.  Continue to watch over and protect all those who serve this country, military, police, fire and medics.  In Jesus' name I pray...Amen.
