can be used perforated pushrods on 400 ?

I don't know if that's the right name, but I'm talking about those pushrods with a hole inside aparently to oiling purpouse.

A friend of mine who got engine block deck milled down is getting troubles now apparently with pushrods lenght and I think we can get that kind of pushrods easily and cheap. Engine is not firing and we have gas and spark, apparently, valves are keeping opened because the pushrods, and hidraulic lifters are not even charged.

what I have to pay attention about this new pushrods ?

PLEASE URGENT... my friend needs to move the car from the place actually is

I run comp "holey" 455 buick pushrods with my solid cam / comp lifter / comp magnum rockers.   I didn't break any yet.  Price was right.

Hollow pushrods are designed to oil the valve train rocker assembly from the lifter. If the lifters are not of the "pushrod oiling" type, the hollow pushrod is just a pushrod, and the hollow part is of no effect.

The hollow portion may make the pushrod a bit weaker, but if you don't have heavy vale spring pressures, they will be fine.

I myself, would shim the rockers up to get everything back to normal before I changed pushrods, but whatever works, works.

yes, but how to trim rockers ? they are stock ones. A friend of mine owner of two Chargers was thinking on shims or washers between rockers "flute" and head, making the same curve of head "flute" bed... but won't affect that the oiling up to heads ?

Does anybody knows what's the difference pushrods lenght between BB and SB ?... I think we need around 3 or 4 mm shorter.
Maybe more ???

There are shims to correct geometry if necessary such as these. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/rocshafshim.html
Otherwise get shorter pushrods.

good!!! so is a right way to correct that...we were thinking on home made shims, starting from washers, to make the firts try. After we get the right measurement, then get the right measure rods.
