There is a thread on Turbomustangs with a street car making over 900hp on the stuff.  Cleaner, cheaper than gas, money stays in the U.S., etc...  Sounds pretty good to me!  Do any of you mid west guys have experience with the stuff?

I'm really cool off the e85.  It's not actually "cheaper" than gas because it's double-taxed in the form of government subsidies.  In other words, the government takes our money to give it to people who will make it, and then we pay tax on it at the pump too.  If it weren't for the subsidies, it would be much more expensive than gas - but remember, WE pay the subsidies!

So you're saying that we're already paying for it?

Good, I'll feel a lot less guilty now when I siphon someone's tank. :D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

We have a couple of stations around here, not sure exactly where though. However, I know a lot of cars are still unable to run on it. It should say in the owners manual it is capable of running on it. Up here (Saint Paul, MN) I believe it is about $2.20 something a gallon. It's definitely a good substatute if your car can run on it :yesnod: .

Sounds like an alternate fuel source. I think ethanol is currently being added to our gas here in NY. I believe it's around 10%. I believe if gas prices remain high you will start seeing other inventions in fuel and possibly other types of engines besides the electric hybrid or used cooking oil burning engines. I'm surprised that we have not seen a synthetic type of fuel developed yet. Also the possibility is that all those inventions have come out already but the oil companies buy out the patents and keep them in the archive shelves to eliminate any competition.

Imagine a nuclear powered Charger!!! good for several years before having to "fill up". Instead of a "Hemi", it would have a "Nuki"!  ;D

I'm sure you're not far from the truth on that one!  I wonder if there is any connection with Bush's energy bill and his families holdings in crude oil  ???
