how hard would it be to change it over.have power windows but cant get the things to work.is it a big deal

I'm not sure what's involved in the swap but the manual regulators can be challenging themselves.

I have all four of them out of my car now and although I'm looking forward to them going back in, I'm not looking forward to putting them back in.

Unless you have access to another car with manual regulators that you can use, I wouldn't attempt this.  I believe you will find that it's much easier to fix the power windows you have than change them to manual.  In addition, the power windows are a nice option on the car that you don't see real regularly.
