Hmm you lost me.  The Petty Blue is not a Metallic Color. Is the Ditzler Paint Chip #12785 correct ??

sorry  dude... :icon_smile_big:     petty blue was not a standard color & had a  special paint  code of 999     , but in 1972  recoded it to  EB3  petty blue / street basin blue/ corporation blue / blue streak    & was offered as a standard production color option. i just was referring to B3 metallic color was discontinued in 71 .

i have it as PPG #2423  on their chip .  may be cross reference  these 2 numbers with you local paint suppliers  .

Here's the card I referred to.  B3 Blue is close, but I'm not sure...
Corporate blue is not as a chip, it's in the Identity colours for Plymouth.

Is there anyone out there with a real Petty Blue car who can transcribe the data plate?

EB3 might be a number on a fender tag, but I can't take that to a bodyshop and expect them to understand the color I want, Can I ??
But anyway, I really do appreciate your help.  I will keep my eyes and ears open. I have a another month before it's ready for paint anyway.

If your tell your body shop that paint code , they can cross reference to the brand of paint that they are using.

My 72 Charger is Petty Blue. The fender tag # is TB3. The Ditzler number is 2423. I used Dupont when I painted my Charger. Dupont number is 5351IB.
From what I have read is that this is not an exact match to the petty blue that they use on the race cars, but it's damn close.
