73 /74 challenger because of the four separate rear lamps, & with the big rubber ( 5 mph)bumper impact absorbers i think it is a 74

Nope, North St. Paul, Minnesota

I noticed it like 6 months ago and hadnt a clue what it was because it was facing the other way and it was tarped. But now that I see it from the side and fully exposed, I see it looked a lot like a Challenger. It doesnt make sense to me why they untarped it because now the snow is sitting on it, when they had it tarped in the summertime,  :shruggy:

Stop and ask them why they took the tarp off?  Maybe the answer will make sense, maybe it won't?   :D

By the looks of it, that snow is not going to hurt it much more.

69-DodgeCharger

Yeah I should and if they are just gonna let it sit there and rot to hell Ill ask them if they are gonna do anything with it and if not ask them how much they want for it  :yesnod:

'74's were a very short run, production stopped mid-year. Looks like a base model from the pics.

Shame it's just sitting there getting covered in ice & snow. I can almost hear it getting rustier & rustier...  :rotz:

If you go knock on the door & start asking about whether it's for sale or how much he wants for it, be prepared to be told to get lost. The best thing might simply be to let them know they should throw a cover over it so it doesn't become a target for thieves. Showing an interest as a hobbyist & not a bargain hunter may win you brownie points with the owner. It might even make you a friend or even give you the chance to buy it later. If it had a tarp on it, it probably rotted & blew off leaving the car in plain site & exposed to the weather. If someone I didn't know came knocking on my door asking about one of my cars, it would send up a flag that they were a bargain hunter looking to take advantage of me whether that was true or not.

grab some cash and knock on the door

I agree. That is, if your interested in the car. Don't ever be afraid to knock on any door and inquire about a car and if the owner would entertain parting with it then, or in the near future. If you don't do it someone else may and then when you see them with the car and not you how do you think you'll feel then. If I didn't knock on the owners door of my 70 I wouldn't have it today. In fact, I knocked once, made an offer and was politely refused. I returned a year later and increased the offer and drove the car home. Just be polite and if they take offense just tell them you only like the car as much as they seem to. Maybe a second inquiry some time later might yield a different response. In short. GO FOR IT!

The roof rust looks like similar to cars that come from down south.  Not typical for Mid-west cars.  But the rust in the wheel wells seals the deal as being a mid-west car. :-[

Get some cash and i'll go with you.  You'll need about $2000.  And now is a good time to buy, its tax season! :yesnod:

Yeah I talked to my buddy that lives down the street from it and he said its been there all his entire life as far as he could remember, he said that havent done anything with it except let it sit there and rot, so what im thinkin is if they arent going to do anything with it why not sell it you know what i mean?

i am kinda interested in it, i will go ask them about it. but theres another car im lookin at right now that has more of my interest, a 62 Impala SS with a 409 2x4bbl in it, no rust, new interior, been sitting in a barn for a long time. me and my buddy are gonna go look at it next week, im taking the camera and snapping tons of pictures of it. but if i dont end up getting that then ill definitely pursue this car!
