Okay, so I took the Charger out today to the base, because it was a beautiful forcast of sunshine and 65*.  On the way out the front gate of the base, there was this silver Toyota Celica with some elaborate dragon painted on both sides, with a whale tail on the back, and a fart can to boot.  This young airman had obviously spent thousands and thousands of dollars personalizing this ricer ride.

We go for miles without so much as a glance, but when the opportunity afforded itself at an intersection with the red light minutes from turning green...the game was afoot!

We were both side by side- waiting for the light to turn green, and when it did, the hammer was thrown down!!!

I punched it and never once looked at him- he was shifting his gears and trying his best to keep up, but finally gave up as the mighty mighty 440 4bbl took this ricer's number and never even winced!

We both got about a mile down the road, when we sensibility and reason took over us both.  He caught up with me next to my side as we both settled down, he rolled down his window and yelled out something like a congrats to me.  I yelled back at him in appreciation, telling him "THAT WAS FUN!"

He let me go ahead of him graciously, as we both continued northward up the highway.  I saw him turn into his neighborhood a short time later from my rearview mirror.

I just patted my dash and gave it a loving stroke.

"Good girl, baby- good girl!"

Now that's what I'm talking about.  Good job Bradley!  This summer will be an awesome one for the GL as I'm doing all the right mechanical things to embarrass the youngins in their other models.(ricers i guess)

I love this phrase and use it way too often myself.. "the game was afoot!" :icon_smile_big:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Troy could add a "Killed" section to this forum, like the one they have over at the Cuda/Chally forum..

After reading that story -Damn I want my ride back on the road again :-\

I haven't had the chance to try any kill's in the 500. Then again there is 8" of snow on the ground here right now, so I won't be getting the car out at all until that has went away for several weeks.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
