My 69 was originally T5 copper with black C5X & C21 interior. Do you guys think I should put it back to the original T5 colour and add a black RT stripe or just completley change the colour?

T5 is one of the best "original" colors, I would keep it that color

mikesbbody

that depends, ask yourself if your going back to the original color and if so why? if you want the car as it left the factory then go for the original color, if you dont like the original color then change it to something you like! remember it's your car and your the one who will be driving it. Also something to consider how long to you intend to keep it?

I'd say original is better...but if you don't really like it...change it...I'd go original.
just my opinion.

While normally, I'd say paint it whatever color you want it to be; if your car is one of only a few produced, it is worthwhile to return it to stock color.  Since the car is unique, it will stand out on its own, it won't need a flashy paint job to do the work for it.  However, if you get a car whose color just doesn't agree with you (in my case white would make me change color) by all means pick out your favorite original color that year and paint it that one.  Or go to a custom color if you want.   If the car isn't going to be a show queen, it doesn't really matter what color it is now.  If you aren't planning on selling it on BJ, it shouldn't make a difference.  But if color changing, make sure you do it right and do the jambs, underhood and trunk to match.  Although I would probably leave one panel the original color for future reference just in case...such as the underside of the trunk.

In my case, I kind of like the fact that my cars color is a rare one, and it stands out even among other chargers, even though i'd much prefer a brighter yellow, or even a teal or bright green color.  But in my case the memories I have of the car in its heyday were Y3 yellow or creme, and the tan top makes it stand out even more.  I've looked for decades and never seen its match, and that encourages me to keep it stock in color, as well as a mostly stock driveline.

my road runner was that color originally. I was planning on going with a different color untill I saw one at The Ntas, and that sold me on it.Depends on what you want/like.

I would go with F3 or F4 green, antique green vinyl top and red stripe, redlines on some of the old spyder wheels, but what the heck do I know, I'm color blind.  Thats why I have a silver car. ;D

T5 is stunning on a Charger, it accents the style lines better than almost any color, except silver of course.  :icon_smile_big:

I would go back to the T5 copper.  That's my opinion though.  I plan on returning my red 69 R/T SE back to it's original (or close to original) T5 with the white vinyl top stripe delete car.  They have some WOW copper colors on the market today.  Go to a paint shop and go through their color chips.

It's your car.  Do whatever makes you happy.  In the end you need to feel good about the car.  While it is expensive, you can always go back to the stock color later if you want resale value.  Make your car a reflection of who you are!

I would go with the stock, but the RT stripe would not be my choise...
