Can anyone tell me if the 71-72 Roadrunner's vinyl top trim would be the same as the 72 Charger's?Are they both B bodies?
1970 Superbird Tribute 440 auto
1968 Charger 426 6 pack auto
1971 Chevelle SS Tribute 350 4 speed
1970 Mustang 351 C 4 speed
1969 GTO 400 Ram air III 4 speed
1972 Charger (soon 5.7 hemi auto)
1973 Charger 440 auto (U code)
If you've never been scared (even a little) then you've never gone as fast as you could have!

They are both B bodies. I would guess the trim is different but I'm not sure.

Are you talking about a full roof or the half roof?

Pretty certain they are different.  As far as I know, the Charger roof extends all the way around the back window.  The Plymouth, however, only has vinyl coming down as far as the lower edge of the back glass.  Meaning, the Dodge has trim which goes from the rear 1/4 glass, across the C pillar and under the back glass to cross over to the other side of the car.  The Plymouth has trim which goes from the rear of the 1/4 glass, across the C pillar and ends at the lower corner of the back glass.
I'm doing that by memory though so if there are vinyl top options on either car which change that and anybody knows of them, please correct me.
