I bought a set of 17 inch wheels on ebay that came off of a 2005 dodge magnum for my 70 charger. The wheels fit the back no problem, but the front wheels won't clear.  Did anyone ever have this problem?  My charger has 4 wheel drums. Thanks

Won't clear what? What's hitting? What size drums?

Those wheels have quite a bit of positive offset (backspace for you old guys). Probably need some adaptors to push them outboard a bit.

It  is hitting the spindle.  I took the centercap off to see what was hitting  and it won't clear the spindle by less than an 8th of an inch.  The drums are 11 inch.

get a stainless frotn disc brake conversion for $500 and then it will clear :yesnod:

Do you have a picture of the side of the car that shows how they look on the car?   I was thinking about doing the same before i bought my current rims and am curious as to how it turned out.

Hi,

What are the tire sizes that you bought. I'm looking to put 17" on my 68 charger and am worried a bout the same thing. If you have pics of yours that would be great.

What is the biggest tires that will fit on the 68 charger, stock suspension with drum brakes ????

Thanks, Steven P. ???
