Sad news for sure, R.I.P. Mr. Landy.   :'(

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I've been phoning all my Mopar friends with the bad news and they're all in shock.  At least with Ronnie there was some news of his health.  I'm sure it isn't to those who knew him, but it seems like Dick's passing came suddenly.  :rotz:

Very sad to hear.  Another huge drag racing icon finishes his final race . . .
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

I haven't even read the first post yet about him being sick, now this. Sad news for sure. R.I.P. Dick Landy.... A true legend.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

He was a great man, and a true inspiration. We have all benefitted from him in some capacity.
My condolances to his wife, Geanie, sons Robert and Richard, and daughter Danette.
He will be missed.

R.I.P Great Legend. I bet the owner of the 70 Landy Charger is glad he had it documented last summer. Kinda wondering how it would do at BJ's now :image_294343:

III, we are everywhere

I was just sitting here and looking at an autographed photo I have of Dick in his 69 Charger and it still seems so unexpected to me.  The weekend prior to this I had been telling a good friend of mine that one of my big reasons for wanting to make Carlisle this year was because Landy always goes and I wanted to get a bunch of stuff autographed.
Make the effort to meet your hero's and thank them while you can. :'(
