old man

This christmas I hope to have a big present under the tree for the wife. Her 66 may be home this Saturday with a fresh coat of Paint. It's been in shop for three or four months and paint was going on Monday. So a few days to finish small details and we should be able to pick her up. I have my fingers crossed that Christmas morning we take it for a spin. We bought it and had it for two weeks before we took it to the shop. It will be like getting a new car again.

I'm in GA for several months.  Going home for Christmas, so I won't be around to drive her.  Would be, though, if I wasn't headed north.

It was in the high 40s today and theres still no salt on the roads here in upstate NY so i had the charger out cruising for about 2 hours. It was my Christmas present to myself and a good stress reliever.

Well...I drove mine to take the kids to the Grandparents house today.   Some assclown was driving next to me on the right side  (I was in the express lane) on the expressway,  and was taking a picture of my car  WHILE he was driving with his cellphone camera.  He started to vere off towards me, as he wasn't paying attention to where HE was going.  My wife signaled in a not-so-friendly fashion for him to get back in his own lane, I stomped on the gas to get ahead of him real quick and gave him a not-so-friendly gesture myself.  He slowed wa-a-ay  down  to a crawl.  I hope the photo of the ass end of my car was a good one!!!   Some peoples' children!!!   Jeeeeeees!!!   Other than that...it was a pleasant Christmas Day outing.

It rained on Christmas but I drove my '68 today and I'm using it while my '05 F150 is in the shop for warrantee work. There was snow flurries for a while, but there's been no measurable snow in CT yet. The roads have no sand or salt yet. Unreal for this part of the world! It is really fun driving the car in the cold weather, it runs great and sounds even better. I'm not minding one bit.

No time to drive it on Christmas but I did hide my wife's gifts in the trunk and she doesn't have a key.  ;D

I'll be driving mine on Christmas!!! :D    (Christmas, 2010 :( )

It's a loooong way off still...  Though I might be almost done before Christmas 2008, I then spend 2009 and part of 2010 paying off the loan and saving up for the overdrive (last component, but I still consider it vital), which will be in mid-2010...

For quite a few years I used my Charger's trunk for a Christmas gift hiding spot, those trunks hold a LOT! :icon_smile_approve:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
