Ironic that one of our most honorable presidents was the only one not elected to office.

Amazing, as crooked and secretive as Nixon was, that he would pick a man to replace him that was the exact opposite of his (Nixon's) personna!!

On the radio this morning, they were talking about the fact that eventhough Ford pardoned Nixon, Nixon never said thanks for doing that. What a guy.

LBJ was the tool in office when I was born. We could have done without him. ::)

I remember when Ford was in office, my parents were relieved that Nixon was out & he was in...I don't recall caring about who was in, at the time. :icon_smile_tongue: They were incredibly disgusted when Jimmy Carter won the next election. Looking back, they were right to be disgusted. :P

RIP, President Ford. :patriot:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I remember seeing Prez Ford when I was a kid. He was touring in Iowa for something.

Of course with the death of someone like this they are having alot of news coverage on his life. It's amazing now to look at what he accomplished. Being only 10 or so at the time when he was in office I had forgotten what kind of man he was. He never wanted to be President but when needed he stepped forward and took charge. He led this country thru a tough time in history and took the heat for pardoning Nixon. He said it was the correct thing to do at the time to heal the nation. He stood tall and we should all give him the respect that he deserves. Not just because he was a President but for what he was as a man. I salute you Mr. President.
