Trailer ?

 The question what is the wheel base of a 1969 charger and the weight with a 383 big block?  Or can I just rent the the biggest trailer U-haul has and the car will fit on it no problem?  Help me figure out a solution to my problem.

The wheelbase is 117", weighs about 3700lbs.
Yes, you can rent the biggest trailer U-Haul has. Not sure if a Charger wil fit on it, you don't say how big the largest trailer they have is.

 Sorry I just wanted to know if any one has trailered a charger and on what kind of trailer?  And does U-haul offer a trailer that big to put a charger on it?

Yes they do have a full sized car trailer.  The Charger fits on it just fine.  Just make sure you have a big enough vehicle to pull the trailer and Charger.

Do you think a Toyota tundra V8 can pull it I usually pull concrete with it but I have not pulled any thing as valuable in my eyes with it.  the concrete guys tell me that the trailer and concrete weigh around 4500 to 5000 pounds.

I know U-haul will ask what you are pulling it with and what will be hauled.  They won't "let you" if the GVW exceeds your truck.

I've hauled every one of my Chargers with U-haul trailers. They have an "auto hauler" which only comes in one size so you don't need to specify. When they ask you what kind of car it is you can tell them it's a Charger but I usually tell them it's a small block since the weights listed in their system seemed out of whack when I checked. If you get a newer hauler they are aluminum and weigh less then the older steel ones (better for your truck). They have surge brakes. The main problem with the trailers is that they are short and the front wheels have to go against the stops. This puts a LOT of weight on the tongue with a big block car but it hasn't caused me any problems. I actually pulled one 440 car backwards because it evened out the weight better but the 383 cars I pulled went on fine. Of course, I was using a 3/4 ton Suburban so your experience may be different. I stopped using U-haul when I found a local trailer sales company that also rents car trailers for cheaper than U-haul. They also actually have one when I reserve it instead of U-haul who doesn't seem to check their inventory until you walk in the door (even if you have it reserved). The real trailers are longer which is a plus when pulling a long car like a Charger.

Ive used the Uhaul auto transports several times. They weigh 2000 pounds empty and pull real nice when loaded. Like Troy, ive had problems with reserving them and the last one i rented they called me at 6pm to tell me it was ready and i had to have it back by 8 the next morning. V8 Tundra shouldnt have a problem pulling it. If they ask about the car tell them it has no motor.

Thank you guys.  I was only worried about damageing my car.  I bought  extra springs from my Tundra know according to the sales rep the truck can hold 3000 pounds in the bed with very little sagging.  And does any one know how much weight will be on the tongue ball park figure?

I have hauled several chargers with U haul trailors,  You will have no problem.

How far do you plan on hauling the trailer and Charger?  I light-weight truck can handle the task if the distance is short.  I used my 94 Chevy 1/2 4x4 to drive 2200 miles one way for my 67 Charger (3650 lbs).  Trailer weight and vehicle weight is close to 7500 lbs.  A 3/4 ton truck is ideal for this weight load.  I also hauled a roller 66 Charger for 210 miles.  It needs more weight on the tongue since the front end is much lighter.  The vehicle on the trailer absolutely needs to be secure.  You don't want the car forcing you to the left or right.

my truck weighs in at 3800 or so because my roof rack and in you count me and a friend the truck will be 4200 pounds. So I know now that I can do it no problem. Thank you for all the help. You guys are great for all your help.
