OK, Didn't think it would be this difficult to locate locally,,, But.....

I'm getting ready to bolt on my heads to the 426 Hemi I have for my '68 Hemi Charger R/T... It's a standard bore, OEM spec rebuild at pistons of the factory 10.25 compression.. What gaskets are out there for this? I don't need anything extr-ordinary...

In Houston......

PS: Found these via Felpro's website...

Fel-Pro performance head gaskets feature a PermaTorque/blue gasket body with a solid-steel core to minimize torque loss and gasket blowout. Fel-Pro performance head gaskets also have a wire-ring combustion seat with stainless steel "armor" for extra sealing force around combustion chambers. Made with a pre-flattened steel-wire ring, Fel-Pro performance head gaskets have the strength of steel-wire sealing, and the minimum brinelling of aluminum heads.

Troy, when I get back home. I'll find out which gasket we used from the shop. Motor was basically the same as what you have, well won of them was out of the two. It'll be about 2 hours before I chime back in with info.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

the FelPro is decent But with the expansion differences between Iron & Alum I would recommend Cometic MLS gaskets + they can be reused
