I am missing several of the little pins that stick up to attach some kinda spring (I think ) that holds the vynil top trim down.  Were can I get these pins, post and springs are clips to hold them down and what are they called?

not springs, they are plastic clips.

No repacements for those pins HOWEVER is not a big deal. You can use regular rivets dirlling the roof and riveting the clips... or regular 1/8" selftapping screws.

However, since you will remove and reinstall a new roof I would do it on another way, and that's teh way I would love to replace some of the stock rivets on windshield area to molding clips instead screws I used. Just buy regular nails, cut a section of head, drill holes on roof and weld on underside of roof skin.. will be the best stock look and best water sealant filling any gap made with dirll with same welding point.
