When i bought mine back in '84,..

WARNING!!! WARNING!!!

long story begins here...

  ;D

An hour after I bought my R/T SE in 1984,.. we were gasing up my van down at the corner Shell station when we roll in this identical 1969 survivor R/T S.E. is sitting there..

you could have knocked me down with a feather!

it was identical to how MY CAR left the factory...  :o
T-3 med bronze stripe delete (except for the black top mine was tan) and buddy seat,.. same as my car was.
so of course i giddied up to the owner half out of my mind with the story my Charger aquisiton of just an an hour before...
guy tells me he bought it from an older couple two blocks from my house where it had sat in the garage since the son bought it on leave for Viet Nam... and he never returned to the car so they sold it for i belive he,..  said Five Thousand Dollors...
I forget the milage now but it was under a thousand...
perfect car i wouldn't have had to do a thing to...

same day i bought mine..  :-\

that's a car i often wonder about..  ???
but to just pick an ultimate charger?..

either a '66, '67, '68 a '69, or a '70 or heck 'even '71 HEMI or 440 Six-Pack have to be a four speed (if i didnt live in congestionville USA i'd sure want one..)    :rotz:
im gonna say the darkest blue avail in whichever year... but i'd take any color really other then a green or yellow... sorry those so equiped..
if it's the '68 i'd take a red smooth top too...
any option that'll fit on two tags.. (that two tag black car ever show up :icon_smile_wink: ? ) Special Ed. 8 track, power windows, cruise, rear discs..
no threes on the trees i wanna stick shift.. to make it perfect throw in the trailor package and a hitch..  :pity:

Plum Crazy would work... daytona? 500? R/T  se? six-pack? '66 - '71?
  im easy...  :yesnod:
i'll take a '69 3 x black convert gtx too Santa... a four speed? hemi?..

Any Charger would be fine by me, I'm not too picky.

Current MoPars:
1968 Charger. 318 Out of commission:(
1975 Dart Swinger. 225 Pops daily ride.
1990 Dodge Ram. 360FI My daily ride.
2007 Magnum R/T. 5.7 Family wagon.

Lowprofile

Besides the one I already own, I have two other favorites................

I'd love to have another 70' R/T...... 440-6-Pak, 4 Speed, Dana 60 All Black & Chrome.  :yesnod:

The other would be a 68' big block 4 speed car... Medium Green w/black top & interior, or black w/a white interior :2thumbs:

Because I am a little different on what I want for Chargers (I love rarity over horsepower), I will say the one that almost no one would say: 1970 Charger 500 SE /6 (one of one, buildsheet has been found but not the car).  If I can't have that one, I would take a triple black 1970 Charger RT/SE, stripe delete, 4-speed to match my 70 RT project.......

I prefer 3rd gens, specifically 73's. So I'm currently restoring/building a bright white SE with black interior and spoiler, with a (500 ci stroker and a dual 4 barrel setup) coming soon. No bling bling B.S. rims either. I like the 70-80's look better, less rim more rubber. Dark tint, modern sound system, headers of course. Damn I'm glad it's almost Christmas, I've got quite a list going. :icon_smile_big:

Here My car

71bee

Damn MikeD, that is one sweet Charger!

I hate a loaded question like this thread suggests. there were way to many good lookin' years for the Charger to choose just one, and way too many killer options to boot. okay, heres my answer today (ask me again tommorrow, I might have changed my mind.)

'70 R/T 440+6, slap stick w/ 2600 stall, Dana 60 w/ 3:91. gotta have the 15" Rallyes too.  nice lil' street brawler.  :icon_smile_wink:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Mine's still under construction (seems like it will be forever)... '69 with a 383/727.  It won't be a General Lee clone but will probably sport some orange paint.
