???  After a long time waiting, I started up the Charger.  I converted it to electronic ignition.  Started and runs great.  I have been reading on this site about guages and  sending units.
I know the gas guage does not work as the new tank and 3/8 line or not in yet. The interior lights work when the door is opened and the trunk light works.   Nothing else at all except radio.
I have power to all the fuses.  No headlights or tail lights or brake lights. I think I have read enough to test all the guages  but no lights isa big problem. Guages are easier to change to mechanical if needed, but one needs lights
Where is the easiest spot to start looking   The bulbs are all good.  Funny  I have 3 Chargers  and this is the only one that the factory tach actually works on.   Amp guage and tach is all that works on car
Thanks

Welcome
the electroluminecent lighting can be a problem to work on , others here will have a better understanding of diagnosing & repairing them
the guages are probably having a problem with the voltage regulator which sends out a 6V pulse of electricity , the guages can be tested with a 5-6 v power source or an ohm meter  to make sure they are working
with the lights you need to trace the circuit , if the car was painted it could just be bad grounds , test for power at the light plugs & sockets if there is no power there check the firewall plug , than the dimmer switch & then the light switch  , you can start at either end & either follow power until it stops or start at the lights & trace the circuit backwards  until you find power

Thanks   I am going to work on the lights 1stt  Then the guages.  Tha dash lights last as I know they are a problem  They do work on one of the Chargers  so when I understand them better I may swap parts.  I dug out a owners manual  (not a factory service manual)  and it says   that the  tail lights stop lights  and hazard warning system have a seperate  in-line fuse  NOT IN THE BOX.  I guess I will start there.   Also the headlights have a circuit breaker right in the headlight switch.  Time to get a Service manual and start learning about auto electricity.
Thanks for the info.

I had a 66 and restored the ELD with the help of a friend. It's well worth doing right because it's beautiful when it works. Having said that, and knowing how much trouble it was, let me recomend J C Auto Restoration in WA. He does ELD restos on first gen Chargers and Imperials. He's great to deal with and helped me do my own. However, knowing what I know now, I'd have given it to him. It's a VERY finicky system and even the slightest ground kills the whole shebang. He has a web site too, check him out. Best to ya. Tony

;)  Things are looking better.  I have 4 months of winter before I even have to think of driving them again.  More snow today..  Going on holidays in  a few days  so just cant get motivated  on much.  I did go out today in the shop and played with the 2 chargers in there.  At the end of the day Both cars inside  shop have dash lights  The one is very dim  but they do work and they do dim even more  when using the dash dimmer. The one car has everything working (except gauges  and they are low priority for now)  On the lights the only thing I dont have working is headlights on the one car.  The dimmer light works  but no lights.  Next is clean the bulkhead connections  and see from there.  Brake lights work and so do the turn signals.  Basically all I have done so far is clean a bunch of stuff.
I have heard of that fellow in Washington.  Actually talked to him ata Charger meet there years ago  (i think it was him)  He would prefere to work on the car  not the pieces.
Ill just keep wprking on them
Thanks
