Hi I,m new to this chat stuff so please bear with me. I just bought a 72 dodge charger se brougham and its in sad shape. the body is good very little rust. but the interior, drive train and suspension all need major work.my first question for now is some parts of the interior are missing like the shoulder belts, but I don,t see any holes or holders in or on the headliner.did 72s come with shoulder belts standard or were they an option?

they were standard. My 71 SE had no belts when I bought it, and that was the only thing missing from the interior. I currently have two 72 Chargers, one complete, one I'm parting out. I can provide you with some pics so you know what you need and how it will attach. I won't have a chance to take the pics until this weekend.

Thanks for the reply and pics.I peeled back the head liner enough to find the holes for the bolts and it looks like they have never been used is it possible they were never installed?

dunno, but as far I know they were mandatory since 69 or so.

UNLESS IS A VENEZUELAN CHARGER, that they never got shoulder belts :P what I don't think is your case since Chrysler of Venezuela never assemblied SEs
