Just got a 71 Charger.  Any idea what color the grille should be around the head / tail lights?  Mine are in decent shape but have some discoloration.  They appear to be a dull gray color.  If you know the color, please let me know.  Also, are these easy to paint myself?

I just picked some up from Eastwood.  I'm going to be restoring my 69 Grille soon and will be posting pics.  I went with the SILVER RALLEY WHEEL paint for the inner shell, Black enamel trim paint for the lower lip and SEM satin black for the grille fins ans headlight doors.  You can find some good pointers by searching on Grille Paint in the paint/body section.

I plan on the following:

Completely disassemble the grille, wet sand the inner shell with 1000 grit, light coat of sem primer and adhesion promoter, sand that when dry with 1000 wet, then spray on the new coat.  I'm looking forward to this project...

On the fins, I'm going to lightly scuff with 1000 again and I'm sure it's going to take me days to complete.  Well worth it when it's done though.
