Venting exhaust from garage

I would like to buy a set of hoses that will allow me to vent the exhaust gases from my garage.  A few years ago I saw a picture of a pair of hoses that attached to the exhaust tips and then fed into a Y connector that allowed a single hose to run the gases outside the garage.  I've been looking in several catalogs, but I can't find any hoses like that.  Does someone have a similar setup in your garage, and if so, do you know where I can purchase a set?

Spend 1/2 of that at Home Depot, dryer vent hose.

I had considered dryer vent hose, but I felt that the chrome exhaust tips might get too hot for the thin plastic used for these vent hoses.  I don't want to melt them to the tips.

I've used some dryer vent hose and it melted do to the heat of the exhaust. Not sure if it was crappy hose or not. BTW this was hooked up to a '53 GMC Pickup, not a muscle car.

Use the metal stuff. plastic will melt. I have ridgid vent tubing (used for water heaters exhaust and such) installed in my garage, ran out of the way, then I use the flexable dryer hose to connect to the ridgid tube when I need to work on the charger durring the winter. Now that I think of it the dryer hose I use from Home Depot looks a lot like the flexable exhaust tubing sold at Auto Zone, but a little lighter duty. I am will to bet that it is much cheaper also. I wish I was home to take pictures for you. I think I have a great setup.

PS the aluminum flex tubing should not scatch the chrom (chrome being harder than aluminum) not to mention you can use waddad up aluminum foil to "erase" rust from chrome and other materials. you may want to test it on inside-botom of the exhaust tip (where rocks ar hitting it anyway  :flame: ). I always test things; even if I "know" what it should do. Just the opposite of the many people that get killed by "unloaded" weapons. Better safe than sorry!

I've used the rubber stuff like in that auction and it works fine . stop trying to invent stuff. get the rite hoses from the beginning and you'll have less accidents . Rene

The heavy tubing in the auction is only 2 1/2" in diameter.  How did you attach it to the rectangular exhaust tips on the Charger?

BigBlockSam

theres another auction for 3 inch .
