phenonix graphics decals install question

I AM ALMOST DONE WITH MY 69 CHARGER AND WANT TO PUT THE GENERAL LEE DECALS ON. MY BODY SHOP WANTED TO PUT THEM ON WITH THE BASE COAT AND CLEAR OVER THEM. PHENONIX GRAPHICS SAY TO PUT THEM ON AFTER THE CLEAR.ANY THOUGHTS ? THANKS SHAWN

I would NOT clear over the decals. There may be adhesion problems with the clear down the road with graphics of that size. Also, in case you change your mind & want to lose them, you'd be screwed if they were buried under clear.
I would paint the car as usual, do any sanding/buffing, THEN apply the decals.

I agree , that would be disastrous , vinyl alway shrinks . Install vinyl over clear this way in a few years when you get tired of people laughing you can remove them !!!!!!!!!! bo Duke
