Suspension overview - what do you think?

Ok, my suspension knowlege is pretty limited, but I think I've figured out the overall plan for the charger.

-alterktion kit with the standard brakes (the wildwoods have no dust shield, and this will be a 'daily driven' car)
-xv stiffening setup
-dana with mid-high 3's and (tracklock, I think? - it's got a grip of some kind, but not sure which)
-ss springs
-cal-tracks
-rear disc kit
-convert to manual brakes

I've scaled back the engine plans a bit (dropped plans for roller cam and decided to have only minimal head work done (indy ez's) so I can hopefully finish this car someday :P  But anyway, it's probably looking at around 550-600 hp now (rather than the 700 I was originally trying to do ).  But, having said that, I'd like to never again have to mess with the chassis/suspension, and I might very well decide to have the heads cnc'd, cam it up a bit, and switch to roller stuff later, so I'd like the chassis to be OK handling up to that 700.  It's a 727 tranny, and I won't be running a transbrake, so I'm thinking that setup should be extremely street friendly, but still give plenty of off-the-line traction for trips to the strip.  I'm converting to manual brakes because the cam will be borderline (I think), and I'd rather give up a little easiness to gain consistency... I don't want to have to 'figure out' how hard to push the pedal from one time to the next :P  Plus, I've heard good manual discs are nearly as easy to press as normal 'power' brakes.  I do still need to keep the power steering, though; Where I live, I have to be able to easily parallel park and get into tiny parking spaces.  Plus I'm a wimp :P

Anyway, with those general guidelines, from the reading I've been doing, that should be a pretty good fit, right?  My dad's trying to talk me into doing ladder bars, but I've heard they aren't good for rough, uneven roads, and the Arkansas Highway Dept makes it so that I NEED to be ready for rough uneven roads :P  Plus I've heard you'll get 'thumps' from the bars on the underside of the car when you hit bumps... given the number of speed bumps around here, that would probably drive me NUTS! :)

looks good , no need for SS springs if you are going to use Cal Tracs for traction unless you want the ride height of the SS

SS springs will not work with Caltracs. The caltrac bars are designed for use with a stnd spring or a Caltrac mono leaf.  :yesnod:

Oh - guess I need to read more then... :)

Thanks!

I like the XV Stiffening Kit, but why not use our level I?

I've seen the details of the engineering that went into the level-II, so I don't doubt it's superior and worth the cost- but I don't have that much...  But I do want to replace the whole segment, and Alter-K seems to fit somewhere between your level I and II, and while it's one heck of a budget stretch, I can afford it.  Everybody's products are slightly different, the alterk just seems to fit what I want to do a bit better in this case
