Hello,

I am happy to say that I am able to keep my Charger.   :punkrocka: I am having the car repainted and I am changing a few things on it.  I am going to put the original hood back on, replace the grill, change the wheels and hopefully replace all the stainless/chrome pieces around the front, back and side windows.  Does anyone know of a good source to purchase these pieces?  Some of them have been painted silver from the previous owner and I really don't want to put them back on looking like that.  I am also looking for a grill that is in good shape. Any help would be great.  Here is 1 picture of my Charger.  The place that is doing the work will be taking photos along the way so as I get them I will post them.

Thanks

All the trim around the windows front, side and rear, is stainless and unless it's bent all to hell you could just remove it and have someone take off the paint and polish them up. If you find someone who knows what he's doing it will look brand new.

Thanks for the reply.  All the pieces are in very good shape except that they are painted.  I thought it was stainless around the back window and windshield, I wasn't sure on the sides.  I thought stainless had a 'layer of protection' on it and if it is removed the steel will rust like any other steel.  There must be a safe way to get the paint off without removing the 'layer', but it's probably expensive as hell.

Anyone know of a good stainless steel restoration shop?

there is no finish on stainless it shines up real good with some light steel wool, but i have new re-bopps from yr. one..
i will install with my new paint.  :yesnod:

Drop Top

AirCraft Paint Remover will work to get the paint off. Then if your lucky they will polish up with some metal polish. Mothers, Blue Majic Comes to mind, But theres others also. You can get all you need at Wal Mart.

Brock Samson,  I saw a post that you put up a few weeks ago with some parts.  Are you interested in selling the 68 grill?  At least I thought I saw a 68 grill.
What kind of price did you pay from  yearone for the stainless?

Thanks
