Question regarding - 69 Charger - Rear Window Setting blocks.

where do you put the rear window setting blocks on the window frame to prevent sagging?

I searched and searched, so that's why I started a new thread.

Looking forward to the response from our forum experts

Heres the answer, most kits come with 2 blocks, these two blocks are use for gap spacing so the window will not sag down.

these two block go on the bottom corners to keep the glass height during install.

my installer also used some material to space the window or sit the window on, out from the metal window frame (body) so it would not settle too low.

yea I did the highly recommended 3m ribbon , instead of urethane.

Install went well, used spacers on each side to ensure it was centered again.  the 3m stuff worked great, I think though after I let it sit for a day I will then use some urethane to just give another to help seal it etc.

main thing that prompted this was only about a 1/4 of my trim clips remaining with about 1/2 working.

so the frame was cleaned up, new clips installed , and window reinstalled, now hoping the moulding will go in

only thing I gotta deal with is that one of my corner pieces is covered in silicone from the previous owner, any advice on how to get the silicone off and then clean polish the moulding.

Over all it was an easy job, if you take your time and double check stuff, then its no big to do this work.

thanks again everyone.     :2thumbs: :coolgleamA: :Twocents:
