I found this site while surfing today; http://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/hemi_starter.html

Smaller, lighter & more powerful than the usual suspects, aaaand they're made in the USA! :boogie:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Sounds great, but they only work on cars with manual transmissions?

Chryco Psycho

you can use the production Magnum starter availble off any newer Dodoge truck V 8 , you will need to remove the adapter block where the battery cable hooks up to fit the big block

I didn't notice that. Now the link seems to be dead. :ahum:

I splurged for once and put one on the Road Car. It's a very, very nice piece and cranks the motor like nothin to it. One of the housing bolts did hit my Hooker Super Comps so it took the slightest dimple to clear.

The starter shown above is only for 1966-69 426 Hemi 4 speed cars. These cars used a unique starter unlike other Mopars.

RobbMc also makes a starter to replace the standard Mopar starter:

Here is some general info about RobbMc starters:

Note that the Dodge Magnum starter mentioned above is a NipponDenso type starter.

yours looks liek a nice piece being a bit smaller & more powerful too  not that i have problems with ND starters

Thanks for the additional info on those starters. I've definitely got one on my 'to buy' list.

Thanks Charger Fan.

As a side note, Sam at TTI headers is now recommending our starter because it provides more clearance with their headers than the ND starter. Many of their big tube headers will only work with a 130 tooth flywheel if you are using a stock or ND starter where you can use a 143 or 130 tooth with our starter.
