I know this has probably been discussed before, but I need to ask since I am at this point now.  I need recommendations as to where you guys have gone to get your suspension components, what you looked for in quality of parts, and what to look out for.  Here is what I am wanting to do.  Anywhere where I can upgrade to improve handling over the stock ride, without going to a full racing suspension, is what I am looking at.  Rubber to poly bushings, one step up on torsion bar size, adding a rear sway bar, etc.  So far, I was looking at Just Suspension's "Real Deal" kit.  Has anyone purchased one of these?  I'm waiting for an E-mail from them right now on where their components are made.  I also want to upgrade my braking from the 4-wheel drum with power assist to 4-wheel disc with power assist.  So far I am looking at SSBC or Master Power Brakes.  Any recommendations here or good/bad experiences with these companies would be appreciated as well.  As for wheel size in relation to the brakes, I want to be able to at least run 15" wheels.  I currently have 14" on the front with a 50 series tire and 15" on the rear with a 50 series tire.  I like the stance and mean look of this set-up, but would change if the brakes couldn't work with the 14" wheels.  Thanks in advance for whatever advise you can throw my way.

I used Poly replacement spring isolator pads and rear shackle bushings on my 73. I like the firmer feel. Got them from Just Suspensions. Pricey but good stuff.

I use Energy susupension bushings & Moog  Ball joints etc , larger T bars are avaailable from mopar , .96 or max 1" are a good upgrade  , welding a plate on the lower control arm will stiffen it , torque boxes & frame connectors will help too , if you are replacing the tie rods you can install larger C body ends & sleeves

Just a side note for others considering what I'm doing as well.  I just got a response from Just Suspension on where they get their components.  They said that they only buy and sell components made in America from companies like Moog, Dana, & TRW and that I can get any upgrades with their kits. (i.e. heavier torsion bars, etc.)

Is it cheaper to buy separately at NAPA or to get the kits?

I'm getting ready to do the same project on my 68 charger and i decided to go with all Moog suspension parts and if you look at some of the recent post you can find all the part numbers you need and probably go to your local auto parts store and find everything you need.

Just a note on the SSBC Disk Brake conversion kit. I upgraded my power front drum brakes with the SSBC kit and it works flawlessly. I even used the master cylinder that came in the kit. Also I was able to use my 14" dish mags with the conversion with no mods. I highly recommend the SSBC conversion kit. :2thumbs:

I got the big 11/16 tie rods and solid steel sleeve deal from Just Suspension a few weeks ago.     I really liked the way it made the steering feel much more precise.

This is some good info.  I really appreciate hearing your experiences.  I feel a lot more comfortable with my decisions so far.  As for whether it is cheaper to buy from Napa as apposed to a Just Suspension Kit, I don't know about that.  But, what I do know is that is cuts down on my research time.  Thanks again for all your help.
