How to test electric headlight door motor on 70 Charger????

I am wanting to know what is the proper way to test a 70 Charger headlight motor???
I have tested mine and it does not seem to work....put power to it as well as a ground.
Any trick too it????

Peal the sealer away from where the power leads to the motor are soldered to the contact plate. Then apply power directly to the motor leads. If your motor turns hard manually, Then your armature is probably seized to the lower bushing, and the motor can not overcome the extra friction.
