Yea, a couple pigs is a small price to pay for 40 years of peace. When we're done we could put the pigs in the ground (except for their blood and guts) cook 'em long and slow and have a party.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Sorry to burst bubbles;

QuoteI consulted Dr. Frank E. Vandiver, professor of history at Texas A&M University and author of "Black Jack: The Life and Times of John J. Pershing," to find out if there's any truth to the above, and he responded via email that in his opinion the story is apocryphal. "I never found any indication that it was true in extensive research on his Moro experiences," he wrote. "This kind of thing would have run completely against his character."

Similarly, I been unable to find any evidence corroborating the claim that Muslims believe that "eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred from paradise and doomed to hell." It is true that Islamic dietary restrictions, like those of Judaism, forbid the eating or handling of pork because pigs are considered unclean. But according to Raeed Tayeh of the American Muslim Association in North America, the notion that a Muslim would be denied entrance to heaven for touching a pig is "ridiculous." A statement from the Anti-Defamation League characterized the claim as an "offensive caricature of Muslim beliefs."

The key phrase in all of that is " in his opinion" .   :D

I say it's worth a shot. If nothing else we still have a BBQ, right?

When dealling with extremists you sometimes must employ extreme measures.

How else can you hope to fight a battle against a foe who's greatest joy would be to die in the process of killing you, or your family?

On the other hand, a quote by Nietzsche sums it all up rather well:

"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster . . . for when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."

Sometimes, when fighting the monsters, you have to let your monster out just to stay in the fight.

Interesting idea about the pigs' blood on the bullets.  Not a bad idea either.

Some limp-wrist in San Francisco might scream about it in a newspaper editorial, but they don't really need to know about it.  Just have a few soldiers do it a few times in Afghanistan or Iraq without any press around.  I'll bet word would get around REAL FAST to the rest of the terrorist groups.

LoPro, that pic reminds me of a High On Fire album cover! :2thumbs:

Yeah, some situations just call for a little bit of the ol' ultra-violence.  :yesnod:
