OK trying to do this right.  What stock intake manifold # was used in a 383 4/bbl W/A/C  does thecompressor get 1 or 2 supports to the intake?  I have seen 2 but it does not look like my intake has the hole where it needs to be in front.  The side seems to go to the 2nd bot from the front?? (drivers side) Also when you mount the compressor to the mounting/backing plate is there washers and/or spacers used?? Mine now has 2 washers 1 in between the compressor and the back mount(were the throttle return spring goes) and 1 between the same mount and the nut that hold it together.  I am sure the washers I have are too large but maybe a washer of smaller dia. goes there?? I thank you in advance for any help. John

John,

I do not think that the 383 4 bbl intakes were different for a/c cars and non a/c cars.  I can try and get the number off my intake to compare it to yours to see if they are the same.
