See thats what I dont want. All I want my '69 to be is a driver that looks decent and I can take it to shows once in a while.

Then it is not a restoration. Nothing wrong with it....it would be a decent driver. But people tend to mis-use the "restoration" word.

I know that.....the term "bringing it back from the dead" is better

I am still under $15K in mine.  I did not have to rebuilt the engine or trans though, they were already rebuilt when I bought the car.  I've done all the metal work, bodywork, paint, interior, and rest of the mechanical work myself, I have farmed NOTHING out.  My figure is based soley on what I paid for the car, and parts I've bought for it.  It was also one of those "Brought Back From the Dead" cars and I've turned it into a very high number 2 car.  If I had to farm out metal work, bodywork, and paint...triple it.
