I didnt find any repro sheet metal for these areas on auto spec...I searched this sight for some ideas..and had a few touch the subject but not really specific for my model..as everyone knows those vinyl tops are just a joy arent they? I had a very nice paint job..but what I didnt know is that the previous owner had buckets of bondo..however there was the bondo on the factor areas of the quarter window channel and  lead?what the hell is with that..is it advisable to remove the lead? from the top of the sail panel and quarter window channels? I cant find any repro for the rea window channels? or the " dutchman panel".. also some ideas on the front pillars would be helpful if available..this site is a great resource thanks guys.. help please! heh I put a before and after pics heh paint hides alot.

The factory leads in the seam between the quarter window and the back window. There is no repop metal for the areas you show. Your going to need a good body man to fix that or look for a donor car.

The lead is possibly there from the factory - although I am not an expert on 3rd gens so I'm not positive. Cars with vinyl roofs typically got filler in the roof seams but hardtops got lead since it had to look smooth. It could have also been an old repair from the 80s (or whenever lead was still legal to use last). If it's in good shape then I'd just leave it in there. The other areas are small enought to be "fabricated" but you'll need someone who is good with a welder. Get all of that old Bondo out of there and use Metal to Metal when you need to apply more filler over the welds. Even if someone makes a panel, it's been my experience that they take as much time to make right as it does to just make a new one from scratch.

I have moreved the bondo from all these locations, and all that are there are holes..inside of the a-pillar aswell as out...about quarter sized...then holes where the a pillar meets the cowling seem has some rust issues....funny thing is that this car had the original looking paint when I ripped the vinyl off..so are we looking at a possiable hardtime "se" ? or just work done afterwards?
