You have to look at this Swedish web site, this guy has posted my pics and info from my ebay listing and is trying to sell my Charger in Sweden.  Does anyone know Swedish or Dutch or whatever that language is so I can stop him?

Somebody over seas is about to be taken for a ride in a bad way!

This takes some large ****!  What can I do?  I don't live in Sweden, last time I looked Fresno is still in California!

Thanks

Michael

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

I'm from norway, so i understand pretty much all swedish text...
He claims that the car sits in USA (witch is true   :P), but will import it to sweden for 239500 SEK (about 37000$)
i've mailed the seller, and told him that the owner of the car on the pictures wants this ad deleted..

Thanks!  I wonder if this guy was trying to make a quick buck?  Sell it to someone prior to buying it from me.

Maybe -I know up here in Michigan I could have gotten more than your buy it now price but that was a few years ago. Most everybody here has been layed off or had a big pay cut. Its a nice car and that motor sounds like its first class, wish I could buy it and hang on to it till it picks up around here but I be too scare I wreak it.

Damn, that's crazy. :rotz: If that's really what he's doing, he gets the honor for being "The World's Fastest Flipper". :icon_smile_big:
How did you happen to find that ad?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I also belong to the Cuda-challenger board and one of them found it.  Don't ask me how but it was a couple of them that emailed the guy and one of them is actually going by their tomorrow on the way to work to inquire about the car.  Should be intere :osting.

This scam happens alot in another car club I belong to. Lots of members spend alot of time/money fixing up their cars only to find them on ebay/autotrader/etc. Usually other members catch them right away..unfortunately, law enforcement has yet to get ahold of one of these scammers :(

I'd be flattered if it happened to me..I'd hunt the guy down, but i'd be flattered none-the-less  ;D

If you can verify that the vin is the same as yours, report it to ebay and get them to pull the ad as fraudulent.  Not that I'd expect ebay to do anything, but at least you tried.

Hey Zentelis, I assume you are the same one as 3Si.  (that makes 4 3si folks here)
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

Hell of you can get $37,000 for it in Sweden, pull your ebay add and get it on a container ship and out to sea right away!

If the ebay ad has any information on it ANYWHERE that gives the contact info for the potential buyer, use it and let them know right away that they're about to be ripped off.  Also, make notes or send messages that are often found at the bottom of the ad to advise anyone who reads them that this is a bogus auction.

You may not be able to get the auction stopped, but, you're not totally helpless either.  Do anything you can.

The thing is, is that these guys are trying to flip my car at a swedish site.  They are not on EBAY, so there is little we can do about it.

There is actually a swedish mopar guy going to stop by the dealership monday to enquire about my charger...This should be good. ;D

He tried yesterday but they were closed. :icon_smile_big:

I'll keep you posted.

Same thing happend to him a month or so ago.
The scammer was in California though. They caught him in the act but I'mnot sure what became of him.

Maybe he fled to Sweden?

Hi Cool440!

Im Norwegian also, and thus i understand swedish. I reported the ad to the owner of the site, and said you didnt like to see your car beeing sold by someone else..
I also sendt the link to this tread, so they can see whats up.

Dont know if they will do anything, but its worth a try.

MOPARHOUND!

Hate to see this.  Sad to say, but stop any type of bogus for sale ads like this, or you could be the one arrested.

How so?

IIRC.....

BK on Moparstyle's brother got scammed bad.  He had a restored car in Texas on consignment at a dealer.  Scammer/supposed buyer took pictures at dealer, sent pictures to a guy in Georgia.  Georgia guy sent money, scammer disappeared.  Cops went after BK's brother for fraud!  Unbelievable!  Lawyer bills!  On "Potential Suspect" list now, even though he cleared his name after much $$$.

*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Ghoste

Yes.  Even the suggestion to agree to buy and then thank him for the car could cause you grief (although it would be hilarious to see their face when told them that).  If he can get that toehold to prove you agreed to send him money.

I just restored my e-bay account after some a..hole stole my identity and listed some-one elses Mustang. I had sold a few cars and had 33 100% feedbacks. E-bay shut my account down within a few hours. They notified me and I had to change all my passwords and live chat, and phone chat to get control. of my account again. Word to the wise...never ever e-mail regarding an e-bay item unless it is thru e-bay's contact the seller. trust me on this one!   Rick
